Compatible Software

Synthesizers in Mac OS X can operate as standalone applications or within other applications as Audio Unit Plugins. In standalone mode they receive input from separate MIDI sources. As Audio Unit Plugins, synthesizers appear right inside of host programs like GarageBand, Logic Pro, Live, Reason, etc. and receive their control messages from the host program. FretPet sends a MIDI stream that all these programs can process.
